The Indian Social Workers Association of Illinois (ISWAI) is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization established in 1999 to bring together Indo-American professional social workers. Any Illinois resident of Indian heritage with formal education in the field of social work is eligible to apply for ISWAI membership. The primary mission of the association is to harness the professional expertise and resources of its members for the betterment of the broader community.
Challenges are a natural part of life, but they can escalate into crises when not addressed appropriately and in a timely manner. Immigrant families are often more vulnerable to such situations due to limited awareness of appropriate interventions and a lack of accessible community resources. ISWAI has remained committed to addressing these gaps, and we take pride in the impact we have made over the past two decades. Through the dedicated efforts of our experienced members, ISWAI has provided guidance and support to countless individuals in need.
In addition to offering one-on-one assistance, ISWAI regularly organizes workshops and seminars within the Indian community to raise awareness and address relevant social issues. The organization also extends its support to the less fortunate through various charitable initiatives.
Do more together than you can alone. Start helping now!
